The director of the Creative Tourism Network® spoke within the International Tay Cities Conference, that took place last March 26th in the Scottish city of Dundee, awarded Creative City of Design by the UNESCO.
More than 200 professional and institutional stakeholders attended the event whose aim was to work on a common strategy for the cities located in the Tay Region, in order to convert their natural and cultural resources into a differential tourism attractiveness.
As the first city in the world in welcoming a “Victoria and Albert Museum”, Dundee and its region are betting on the creative industries and a rural complementary offer in order to attract travellers of the new generation eager to live unique experiences.
In this sense, Caroline Couret, from the Creative Tourism Network®, gave some good practices in order to use the creative tourism as a lever for this tourism and economic development, while creating a value chain for the territory.
The audience demonstrated their enthusiasm for this new approach of tourism and creative economy.
And … potential and enthusiasm are precisely key to lunch such successful projects!
Many thanks and congratulations to the organizers and TOPOSOPHY !
