The Festival of the Crosses is the local most important and symbolic traditional festivity of the year. It mixes perfectly the profound religious spirit, common of the these people, with the ethnographic and popular events. To experience the Battle of the Flowers during this festivity, is to take part in a unique parade, that is a major highlight of this celebration’ s calender. Dozens of associations of the county harvest the flowers with which, on the afternoon of May 1st, they are going to “fight” in a stunning show that every year turns the city center into a bright rug made colorful flowers. In this event tourists are invited to take part on battle and blend with the true festive local spirit.
