Fringed by turquoise blue seas and smack in the middle of the seven thousand plus islands that make up the Philippine archipelago is the historic and dynamic City of Cebu. Long established as a creative hotspot, Cebu City was first identified as the Philippines’ design capital by the British Council in 2008 and was the ASEAN City of Culture in 2010. In 2019, the city was designated as a Creative City of Design and joined the prestigious UNESCO Creative Cities Network. in 2023, Cebu City was further recognized as a Creative Friendly destination by the Creative Tourism Network.
